I happened apun my old iMac the other day, it’s one of those all in one deals. Think they called it a jellybean or something similar to that. Anyway I am running out of file space on my main system, and thought that just maybe it would make a nice little file server for a little extra storage and a few other things. After booting it up, first time I bet in over a year, I discovered I had already installed a linux system on it, but wanted to convert it to openSuse 11. Figuring it would make it a tad easier. I had the same problem when I installed openSuse 10.3 as I did when I upgraded to openSuse 11, in regards to a dual monitor set up. The nVidia drivers just did not give the option for dual monitor.
The first time through a good friend of mine helped me out with the problem. And determined that the wrong video driver was installed, which was true. We thought that perhaps this was the same problem this time around. But after checking we had the correct drivers. Read the rest of this entry »
